CHILDREN WILL LEARN JEWELRY MAKING IN A SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX

The pupils of the special educational complex for children with hearing impairments in Yerevan can also sing in sign (body) language. One of the favorite songs is about the Armenian dream and hope, “The sail of hope”.

The pupils of the educational complex learn various trades in high school: hairdressing, make-up, manicure, carpet weaving, shoemaking and even 3D modeling.

In 2022 the educational complex became a beneficiary of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation and received a grant. In the special educational complex for children with hearing impairments in Yerevan, where the children receive pre-professional education, another workshop was supplemented with the help of the grant received. The jewelry classroom was opened and fully furnished with the support of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation. The Foundation also supported the equipping of the other workshops of the educational complex with the necessary materials and accessories, which allows the educational process to be organized more interesting and comprehensive.

“The children wanted a classroom-workshop related to jewelry to be opened in the educational complex. most of the boys expressed their desire to master that profession. We supported and fully equipped the classroom with the necessary equipment, materials and supplies,” said Anna Gishyan, Director of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.

“We design artistic taste in children. Children acquire pre-professional education, which later enables them, to be free, confident and independent,” said Armine Babayan, Director of the Special Educational Complex for children with hearing impairments in Yerevan.

“Thanks to the Stepan Gishyan Foundation, it was possible to introduce a new profession in the educational complex for children with hearing impairments. I see great potential and light in children. Our task is to be able to identify the strongest side of our children and thereby give them the opportunity to go on the path of life,” said Lusine Babayan, Chairman of the Board of the “Cooperation and Development” Foundation.

The teachers at the school are sure that the best future masters of Armenia study here.

The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation” was established by Acba Bank, French Credit Agricole,

Credit Agricole National Federation and the Gishyan family. The Foundation's programs are aimed at strengthening Armenian-French relations, improving and perfecting Armenia's socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural, and healthcare systems.

Technical education opportunity for children from border regions
Children of Basic School No. 2 of Noyemberyan town, Tavush marz, will receive education in the technically equipped and re-equipped “Armat” engineering laboratory. In this laboratory children will be able to bring their ideas to life through programming, robotics and 3D modeling.
“Armat” is one of the beneficiaries of the annual grant program of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation, due to whose support the classroom was equipped with new robotics kits, computers were reinforced and generally re-equipped.
